This page explains how PhoneSahi chooses what to cover, checks facts, uses AI tools and fixes its mistakes. The short version: nothing is published until its facts, figures and prices are confirmed against official sources and Lokesh Rathore has reviewed it, and a label on every article tells you whether it comes from research, testing or hands-on use.
What we publish
- How-To & Fixes: answers to problems people really run into, worked out and checked on devices we have access to.
- Buying guides: picks for a budget or a use, each stating when we last checked its prices.
- Comparisons: a pair of products set side by side, ending with a clear call on which one suits which buyer.
- Explainers: specs and tech jargon, broken down into plain English.
- Reviews: we write one only after using the product ourselves, so there aren’t many.
What the label under each headline means
Every article carries one label just below its title, so you can see at a glance how much hands-on work sits behind the article:
- Research-based · not tested: written from prices, official specs and other published material. None of us has used it.
- Specs comparison · not tested: the official specifications, placed side by side.
- In-store hands-on: we tried the product briefly in our shop, which doesn’t amount to a full review.
- Tested on our own device: we followed the steps and took the screenshots on devices we used ourselves.
- Hands-on · used X days: we used it as our daily device for the number of days shown, and we disclose where the unit came from.
Words such as “we tested” and “in our testing” are used only where testing really happened.
How we check facts
Specs come from each brand’s official website for India. When the steps involve a carrier, a brand or a government department, we follow that organisation’s official page wherever one exists. Each price is dated with the day we checked it, and we don’t report rumours or unconfirmed launch dates as facts.
Where AI helps, and where it stops
AI tools help us research, write early drafts and cross-check facts. Before anything goes live, every fact, figure and price is confirmed against official sources, and Lokesh reads the article through, adding what the shop has taught us. Wherever we have our own photos or screenshots, they go in too.
These rules always apply:
- Recommendations are made by a person, never by AI.
- AI is never allowed to invent a spec, a price or a test result.
- Product photos are never swapped for AI-generated images, and an AI-made illustration always carries a clear label.
- Every article ends with a short note headed “How we made this”.
Images we use
Our own photos and screenshots come first, and we use them wherever possible. Press images from a brand are used only with that brand’s product, and we credit them. We never take images from other websites.
Who can’t influence us
No brand can buy its way into our guides or up a list. Brands also don’t get to see articles before publication. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be marked “Sponsored” at the top.
Lokesh also owns Mobivault, a phone shop at Zone 2, MP Nagar, Bhopal, and you may find products from our articles on its shelves. That has no bearing on our picks, and we flag the connection in articles where it matters.
Updates and corrections
We regularly revisit buying guides and any other article built around prices, and revise them when prices move or we change our picks. An article’s “Updated” date moves only when its content genuinely changes, and a note says what was done. Spotted a mistake? Tell us through our contact page. Once we confirm it, we correct it fast and the article shows that it was corrected.
